LINUX developers now have a Visual Development Environment
BX/CIK integrates the industry´ s leading GUI Builder, Builder Xcessory PRO(tm)
(BX PRO[tm]), into the Code Fusion(tm) Interactive Development Environment (IDE)
from Red Hat. The integration of these two industry leading
products provides LINUX developers with the first commercial IDE with
graphical user interface (GUI) builder development capabilities. The
completeness and breadth of this integrated development environment offers
developers the potential for significant boosts in their productivity.
Although long available for Microsoft Windows 9x/NT environments,
commercial quality IDEs with GUI builder development capabilities have not
been available for LINUX. As a result, each developer or project team has
had to build their own development environment out of basic building blocks
provided by the operating system and perhaps acquired from third party
software suppliers. The support and extension of these development
environments can waste precious engineering resources.
With the integration of Code Fusion and BX PRO, developers can more quickly
proceed through the development cycle from prototyping to debugging and
testing. They never have to leave their development environment, or spend
time making the tools work together. With BX PRO, Code Fusion, and the
integration kit available from ICS, LINUX developers have an industry
leading development environment that rivals existing Windows based tools.
Key Features:
- New icon added Code Fusion makes launching BX PRO quick and easy
- BX PRO included on the ´ Tools´ menu of Code Fusion provides
consistent access with other tools provided by Code Fusion
- Project directory currently being used by Code Fusion is
automatically selected by BX PRO as target for saving user interface
definition, and generated code eliminates unproductive directory structure
navigation
- New predefined search rules simplify connecting user interface to
application backend
Availability:
BX/CIK is available immediately for download from ICS´ LINUX Web site at
http://linux.ics.com. Since the functionality of BK/CIK is continually
enhancing, users are urged to reference this Web site frequently for the
latest versions of the software.
