Evaluation Software:
This release of BX PRO for Linux is distributed as several packages,
using the RedHat Package Manager 4 (RPM).
Builder Xcessory PRO for Linux consists of three products:
- Builder Xcessory
--a user interface design tool for X/Motif
- EnhancementPak
--a set of 34 new Motif-based widgets
- ViewKit
--a high-quality C++ application framework for X11/Motif.

REQUIREMENTS
On some Linux distributions, you may need to install additional required
libraries. BX PRO was compiled on RedHat Linux 7.0 and requires the following
system libraries:
- ld-linux.so.2
- libICE.so.6
- libSM.so.6
- libX11.so.6
- libXext.so.6
- libXmu.so.6
- libXp.so.6
- libXpm.so.4
- libXt.so.6
- libc.so.6
- libdl.so.2
- libm.so.6

Download RPM Files
Note: You might need to "Save Link As.." from the right click menu.
Make sure that you are using "Binary" mode when downloading these RPM
files. Some browsers will mistake RPM files for text files and use ASCII
mode!

INSTALLATION
If you installed any other version of BX PRO for Linux, you should first
remove all of the packages in that version to avoid any conflicts that
may occur with this release software.
- Become the superuser.
- Change directories to the directory containing the BX PRO RPM files.
- Install the packages either all at once or individually in the following order:
- rpm -i bxpro-eval-viewkit-gcc295-1.3.1-1.i386.rpm
- rpm -i bxpro-eval-epak-3.0.3-1.i386.rpm
- rpm -i bxpro-eval-5.0.8-1.i386.rpm
- rpm -i bxpro-eval-binary-gcc295-5.0.8-1.i386.rpm
- rpm -i bxpro-eval-codegen-5.0.8-1.i386.rpm
If unspecified, the BX PRO distribution will be installed in /opt/bxpro-5.0.
You can specify another installation directory by using the --prefix option to the rpm command (use the --relocate option if you are using RPM version 3.0 or hi
gher).

RUNNING BUILDER XCESSORY
After installation, a script, bx50, will be installed in /usr/bin/X11. Use
this script to run Builder Xcessory.
